PC Laptop Question

What is the best laptop for a student?

Posted by donny12 on Apr 05, 2009

I'm looking to buy a laptop that isn't too heavy and a bit small (not too small so it wouldn't hurt my eyes, I thought about 13.3 inch). Any comment would be appriciated.

Oké Taran, got some experiences with Dells.

Don't touch them.

1. too expensive.

2. too special.

3. 2 men job taking apart.

Go with some youtube demos how to built your own PC from a hardeware shop discount. I did 5 of those machines.

Hi,

I like astridprieto idea. All laptops are not satisfactory in all aspects.

Either go for dell, they have an option for you to select the parts you want like more ram and so on and its good or those who have no idea how to assemble but still know the specificatuons and have lot of money to spend...

Get none. Saves a lot. Need a PC take a desktop you can fix yourselves. Build one yourselves, you learn a lot.

In the field you won't need it really. A roll of kite string, swiss army knife, zippo lighter and possibly a slide rule make you more happy.

If you are looking for a high end one, I suggest go for the best.

Hi, If you are in the UK , this is one of the medium size screen laptops that I am selling more:

Packard Bell MH35W-200 dual core laptop

Its price is below 300 pounds and performance are good enough to compete with its bigger brothers.

A good choice on the US market can be the Compaq F763NR, or an equivalent HP model, with performances and price similar to the Packard Bell.

On both laptops is recommendable expanding memory to at least 2GB, them both support up to 4 GB , and are usually sold with 1 or 2 Gb.
