Posted by meamer on Oct 08, 2009

I'm trying to decide between sticking with the $300 point and shoot cameras or stepping up to a DSLR. What should i do?

Buy a Nikon D40. It's a DSLR, costs about $400 with an excellent lens, and blows away any point and shoot you can find. It's also better than most of the mid range DSLR's out there. Unless you want to spend $3500 for a D3 or the top of the line Canon, you need to buy a D40. You won't regret it. For unbiased reviews, check out Ken Rockwell's website.
