Bought one for my daughter for x-mas 2008. Have sent it back to Nikon 3 times since (less than 11 mos) with same issues, lens will not open or close. They want to charge me to repair something that has been a CHRONIC problem with this camera. Don't buy Nikon - their customer service is awful!!

I bought this and a Nikon L16 and both have "lens errors" within 2 years. One was fixed by Nikon but my L18 was from America and would cost more to repair than the camera costs. Surely this is a product error as Wilkinson's say that they have had lots in with this fault. I have since bought an Olympus miu to replace L18--so far, so good, nicer, compact camera.

I sincerely believe that NIKON the name itself is a renowned world famous in the manufacture of phtographic equipment. For the past 20 years I have been using NIKON products and I have recommended this to each and every family member and friends as well. It gives high quality pictures and equipment duranility. Most of my friends were satisfied with NIKON products they thanked me for suggesting such a good product.
