1997 Hyundai Sonata Recommendations

For 1997, the Sonata four-door sedan is available in three models - (Base) Sedan, GL and GLS. Dramatic contemporary styling and design is at the forefront of the 1997 Sonata. Major design changes include the front grille, front hood and side panels with exterior body color moldings added to the base and GL models, with bright inserts added to the GLS. Additional changes include the repositioning of steering wheel controls and instrument panel gauges. Noise reduction was addressed with the addition of liquid filled engine mounts for the V6, as well as additional insulation to help reduce interior noise. The V-6 engine comes with a computer controlled four-speed transmission that tunes into the drivers shift habits to optimize shift points.
