1999 Audi A4 Recommendations

New for 1999, the A4 Avant (wagon) is now available with the 1.8 T engine (turbocharged four cylinder engine) which was previously only available in the sedan models. The A4 sedan is available in either front wheel drive or the full-time Quattro all-wheel drive system and the Avants are only available with the Quattro all-wheel drive system. All A4s are available with either the 1.8 T engine or the 2.8 liter V-6 engine, both of which feature five valves per cylinder technology. All A4s are available with either a five speed manual transmission or an optional five speed automatic transmission. A4s equipped with the automatic transmission include steering wheel mounted Tiptronic controls to make shifting easier.
