Product Details
The Sierra is GMCs full-size pickup, and the 1998 model retains the look introduced in 1988. The GMC brand name goes back 90 years, and while General Motors has abandoned the heavy truck and bus markets, it still offers a pickup truck line with many powertrain, weight rating and comfort/convenience features. There are no meaningful differences between a GMC Sierra and a Chevy C/K truck, except that GMC trucks are sold by Pontiac, Buick, and Oldsmobile dealers as well as by stand-alone GMC Truck dealerships. The Sierra is GMCs bestseller by a two-to-one margin, and the only major change for 1998 is availability of the PassLock theft-deterrent system.
