Product Details
After working hard to redesign and release the 1999.5 Golf, Volkswagen has decided to keep its changes for 2000 to a minimum. The Golf is available in five hatchback models: GL, GL TDI, GLS, GLS TDI and GLS 1.8T. Both the GL TDI and GLS TDI models are propelled by a 1.9L 90-hp diesel engine. The GLS 1.8T boasts a turbo gas engine producing 150-hp. The rest of the bunch is left with a 2.0L 115-hp engine, which is paired with either the standard manual transmission or an optional 4-speed automatic transmission. New options available for 2000 include a Monsoon Sound System and a Cold Weather Package. The Luxury Package returns consisting of a power sunroof and 15-inch alloy wheels.
