1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue Recommendations

All-new in 1998, the Intrigue is Oldsmobiles import-beater. For 1999 a new 3.5 litre double overhead camshaft V-6 has been added to the GLS and by mid-1999, the old 3.8 litre V-6 will be phased out completely. The new engine boasts 215 hp versus the 3800s 195. Nonetheless, it doesnt feel that much more powerful. However, it is smoother and it finally allows Oldsmobile to boast an engine as sophisticated as the imports. The Intrigues truly outstanding feature is the integrity of its chassis, something thats becoming a trait of all Oldsmobiles. The result is an excellent ride, above average handling and a completely squeak-free ride. The interior is roomy enough for five adults, although the seats could use more support. Intrigue is well-equipped with airbags and ABS standard. Autobahn package upgrades the suspension, tires and brakes and is useful even for Canadian highways.
