The KJ-7 is an inexpensive telescope with an equatorial mount. There are many inexpensive telescopes on the market which have altazimuth mounts. This means that they can only be moved in straight lines. But objects in the sky move in semicircular motions, which means that altazimuth mounts cannot be easily used to track objects in the sky unless you're using a low magnification eyepiece. Telescopes with altazimuth mounts are best reserved for use with land-based (terrestrial) objects of interests.
