The Gateway 200ARC notebook computer keyboard is a full-sized keyboard that functions the same as a desktop computer keyboard. Many of the keys have been assigned alternate functions, including shortcut keys for Windows, function keys for specific system operations, and the Pad Lock keys for the numeric keypad. An external keyboard can be attached to the notebook computer using a USB port. It is not necessary to shut down the notebook computer to connect a USB keyboard.
