Product Details
Full-featured RAID data protection is a required feature in entry-level servers. The highly-affordable and modular Intel RAID Controller SRCZCR enables system builders to implement robust hardware RAID data protection while optimizing their server baseboard investment. This modular RAID on Motherboard (ROMB) controller is designed to interface with the disk I/O silicon integrated on the board. Because there are no disk connectors on the card, utilizing existing connectors on the motherboard provides important cost savings. The RAID Controller SRCZCR utilizes the platform I/O silicon through RAIDIOS, which is a standards-based enabling technology for I/O device routing on server motherboards and a key building block for OEMs. RAIDIOS allows the integrated devices to perform RAID functions without the additional disk I/O on the controller itself. The SRCZCR controller is equipped with the Intel IOP303 I/O processor, featuring a hardware XOR engine for enhanced RAID 4/5 operations, and 32MB of PC100 ECC S
