National Geographic NG70CA (225 x 70mm) Telescope Recommendations

The NG70CA is a compact 70mm (2.8") altazimuth refractor telescope with a 300mm focal length. The result is a small telescope with big telescope performance and a exceptionally bright, wide-field view. The optics feature unique jewel green phase shifting multi-coatings to enhance viewing detail. The NG70CA comes with a diagonal mirror, two eyepieces (4mm and 20mm) and a 3X Barlow lens for magnifications of 15X, 45X, 75X, and 225X. To provide a more comfortable viewing angle when viewing right-side-up images on land, a 1.5X Image Erector is included. A sturdy aluminum table-top tripod is included. The NG70CA has been designed for use as a general-purpose telescope that can be easily taken anywhere. Its bright image makes it good for astronomical viewing of faint objects such as the Andromeda galaxy.
