The Dell PowerConnect 2624 is an ideal switching solution for an environment using bandwidth-intensive applications such as video conferencing, streaming media, high-speed data back-up and recovery, and database services. With 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports including one combination RJ-45/small form factor (SFP) port, the switch delivers high-performance, reliable server connectivity. It provides automatic negotiation for speed and full- and half-duplex mode on all ports, as well as features backpressure flow control in the half duplex operation. The Dell PowerConnect 2624 also supports tag-based prioritization following the IEEE 802.1p standard with two priority queues per port. The switch comes in a 19" rack-mountable and wall-mountable, standard 1U chassis with a comprehensive LED indicator panel to monitor the overall switching condition.
