The TrueMobile 1170 incorporates manageability, performance and security features required of today's businesses. 802.11b wireless network standard provides data rates of up to 11 Mbps. Designed specifically to meet the needs of enterprise-class wireless networking, the TrueMobile 1170 supports up to 50 wireless clients. The TrueMobile 1170 Access Point is configured with two internal radio slots - each accommodating a PCMCIA Type II wireless PC Card. The unit can be configured with either a Wi-Fi certified 802.11b radio (standard) or Wi-Fi certified 802.11a upgrade kit (optional) - or both. It supports key features like HTML, DHCP Server, NAT Firewall, VPN Pass-through, Remote point-to-point diagnostics, WDS Repeating, TFTP, and Telnet/CLI. Key security features include 64/128 bit WEP Encryption, 802.1x Port-Based Authentication, MAC Address Filtering and Broadcast SSID disablement.
