The Dell family of console switches allows IT professionals single-point access and control of multiple servers from one or more consoles (keyboard, monitor, and mouse). Using the 2161DS users can gain console level control from right at the rack, or from anywhere in the world using KVM over IP technology. The traditional 8 and 16 port console switches use an intuitive graphical user interface that give systems administrators control of up to 256 servers.The 2161DS uses this same intuitive graphical use interface for the local console and add KVM over IP for remote access through the Dell Remote Console Software (RCS).
