Swift 864 (36 x 114mm) Telescope Recommendations

The reflective mirror in this Newtonian telescope gives bright, color-corrected images of nebulae, star clusters, and galaxies, as well as lunar and planetary objects. Portability, wide aperture, and reasonable price combine to make this an excellent telescope for the serious budding astronomer. This 4.5" equatorial reflector has a primary mirror coating along with S10 overcoat. It also has rack and pinion focusing with slow motion controls, setting circles, and a clock drive attachment. A Kellner eyepiece, coated with Magnesium Fluoride on all air to glass surfaces gives magnification of 36.4. The 6x, 30mm finder scope is standard equipment.
