EASY FIX!! There is a silver cover over the carb, remove two screws.Inside there is a spring that holds down a diaphram made of soft rubber,it may have a hole or be damaged in some way or not seated properly. If it has a hole or slit it can be fixed with gorilla glue till you can find a new one. good luck. About all you can do is to temporarily remove the air filter ( to be sure the carb is getting air ). Install a new spark plug. Remove the float bowl on the carb and be sure the float operates properly; shuts off the gas when in the "up" position and lets the gas flow when in the "down" position. Is the crank chamber partially filled with gas? If so, pull the head off then run the piston to the top and then move the entire cylinder away from the case a couple of inches. Use a few folded paper towels to absorb the gas. Put it all back together and give it a try. If the carb has a power valve, be sure to go easy on twisting the throttle as each twist shoots extra gas into the chamber.
No spark
It is more than likely the coil, or the CDI
Engine need choke to run but still does not run
have you just taken bike from winter storage? carbs could be gummed up (starving fuel) fuel filter could have **** in it (starving fuel) does fuel pump run continuosly? you definately are not getting enough gas. Berrymans B12 fuel additive is very good at breaking down the gum in the fuel system, i dont know where you are and dont know if berrymans is avaliable outside the USA. but some kind of additive whatever you can get that cleans carbs/injectors should help you out there.
good luck
No fuel to the system
Possible clogged fuel system. Would probably need a whole cleaning ie tank, injectors or carb, fuel pump etc... Today's fuel has so much ethanol in it that it starts turning bad in only a few months and can be totally bad after only a year. I’m happy to help further over the phone at
