What does the battery warning light mean on my 2003 Mazda Protege? Someone stole my manual out of my glove box so I can't look it up.

Hi,
That battery light on your instrument panel means the battery is discharging and the alternator does not charging the battery.
Better check your engine, the alternator belt might have been cut off or already missing.
The other one will be is to check the battery terminal if it is properly connected in the battery poles.
If all these are still intact, the problem would be the alternator itself. You have to bring your car to nearest garage to check the charging( voltage ) output of that alternator something might have been broken inside it. Usually the parts inside are the rectifier diode, IC regulator, and the carbon brush.

Protege air only works on 3

I had the same problem with my 03 protege. It worked on speeds 3 and 1 for a while then only on 1 so I took it to the dealer I bought it from. It was the a/c control head which cost $100. Works great now.

My son haf a mazda and has turned the traction control on and a warning light has come on he switched it off but the warning light is still lit what does this mean ?

you or your son should review the owners manual in the glove box. if it is not there then a replacement
can be had very cheap on ebay. it will come in handy again and again for all types of questions. a dealer is also a good source for this type of info.

Where is the heater blower motor located on a 93 mazda protege? what will it look like?

It should be behind /underneath the glove-box.May have to remove the glovebox or the kick panel underneath.
Once you do, you will see a cyliderical object mounted vertical--about 3" in dia.,that's the motor itself and has mounting screws to the air ducting.Remove those screws and the electical conector to the motor, than the the whole assembly with the impeller and motor will come down.

Blown main fuse on 2003 mazda protege 5.

There are two bolts on the side of the fuse itself. Under the fuse box on each side. Unbolt those and it will come out.

I bet it also feels like it wants to stall as well. I think my car was at around 65k and it did the same. It is the spark plugs and the coil. My mistake was going to the dealership where they charge you too much. Any experienced mechanic can do it. Changing the coil is also in the manual.
