There's such thing as motorcycle oil. Its formulated for motorcycle engines. I'd go in to an auto parts store and ask exactly which weight oil to use for your engine.

Missing ignition start switch for 1981 yamaha xj650 maxim, what's the amp required to start it? Having trouble finding the right momentary switch to install

Starting doesn't go through the ignition switch it goes through the starter solenoid and the ignition switch controls that solenoid only about 5 amps.

Speedometer goes very slow both up and down again on a 1981 yamaha xs 400 special. how do i solve this? is there a heater in the speedometer and is it replaceable. there is a bulb and something that look...

there is no heater. remove the cable from front wheel to speedo, lube it with 3 in 1 oil (or any other thin oil), remove speedometer and put a few drops of oil where the the cable goes into it. my first bike was a brand new 1982 xs400 when i was 17, ah the memories
