When trying to start my 2003 jeep cherokee nothing happens. It is like as if the car is not connected to a battery because like I said nothing happens. When I looked under my hood of course my battery was connected but still when I turn the key in the ignition the car does absolutely nothing. The battery is fairly new so I dont think the battery is dead.

Hi just because the battery is new does not mean anything turn on your head light to see if they come on, if not most likely the battery, if you have a volt meter I would check the battery. Now if the light do come on then I would check the fuse for the ignition system, pull the fuse complete out to check if it is blown. These two check I would start with. Please let me know how you make out.

Cheers

2003 Grand Jeep Cherokee will not start.

Could be a faulty starter or bad connection between the battery and starter. You could use a meter to check for voltage at the starter but it will not show resistance in the cables.

My 2003 Jeep Gr. Cherokee will not start, not even an attempt to do so. Also there are no interior lights or power locks. ANY thoughts?

Undo the bonnet, look to the right, are the battery leads connected? if they are, put some jump leads on it (using another car, making sure the other vehicle is running) then try and open the doors and start it.
