A/C works great except.... I'll have the A/C on MAX where it blows air out the vents. When I accelerate, where the engine is pulling a little harder, like up a hill at 65mph, the air will stop flowing but you can still hear it as if it is. Once on the level or coming down hill, the flow of air will return to the vents like normal. I believe it is a vacuum hose problem some where, but where? I need a diagram to follow, hopefully it is easily reached as I am a paraplegic and can't get into a lot of positions. Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.

Most cars & trucks have a vacuum reserve tank under the hood for this problem, some look like a round ball or a can with vacuum hoses going to it, check and make sure it don't have a hole in it, if the take is ok you could add an extra tank to give more reserve vacuum, or if you don't have a tank you can add one.

Why car isn't blowing cool air except while driving fast?

Are you saying the air coming out of the vents is not cold unless you are moving ? Or there is no air unless you are moving ?
And are you sure the radiator fan is running with the ac on ? Can you feel air being pulled thru the condenser ? What are the gauge readings with the ac on and the engine at idle ?

My 2006 Ram 2500 Diesel cab heater blows cold are out the driver's side vents and hot air out the passenger side. I can't get the cab warm in the winter unless I place the heater in recircula

CHECK all the vent hoses, are they connected, no ob strucctions, when the last time you replaced the cabin air filter ? do you have one? look @ your owners manual, also, you may need to have several heater controls, or other control on as well, see owners manual, anything fall into the defroster vents ? replace thermostat @ engine. see how this works for you, good luck

No air is blowing through ront vents

It sound like the is a vacuum leak in the line that goes to the heater control head. Engine vacuum is used to move blend doors in the heater box. There is a vacuum line that goes from the engine through the firewall on the passenger side up to the heater control head. I would check and make sure you have vacuum there with the engine running.

Air blowing out floor and defrost vents but not not front vents

Sounds like a blend door problem. The vacuum from the engine opens and closes the door that directs air flow thru the vents.
I would guess the door is stuck in the middle of the range or something is blocking it.
The blend door(s) is behind the glove box.

No matter what setting you have the air or heat on, it still comes out all the settings(vents, defrost and floor vents) all blow at same time in my 2003 chevy impala

sounds like you have a bad blend door motor that is stuck in the middle allowing for all vents to blow air... locate the motor under the dash and remove it. manually move the lever and see if it changes the flow.. check for power at that motor to make sure your getting the signal from the dash then you'll have found your problem....

2006 Nissan Quest - Overheats when sitting idle, A/C won't blow cold when sitting idle, A/C knob will only blow from the face vents when on Max A/C and changes blowing direction on any other setting,...

All seperate things, usually. I'll address these in the order they appear in your note....

It is normal for the A/C air to warm up a bit when sitting, less airflow thru the condensor. However, if the cooling fan(s) are not working properly both the A/C air and engine temp will rise higher than usual.

All A/C's only blow from the dash vents when on MAX.

Drivers window switch could be bad, or the safety sensor is faulty. It sense's upwards pressure, and if to great it will reverse the window. I believe the thought here is to prevent a child from choking.

The tire sensor. If you are refering to the air pressure sensor, it could just be bad, missing, or dead battery.

2004 titan not blowing air out the vents except a drizzle amount

Most likely you have dirty can clogged cabin air filters. If you know they have been changed, then read no further. If they have not, follow these steps for replacement.

1. Open glove box (passenger side) and remove retractable cord on right side of glove box.
2. Remove 2 plastic hinge pins for glove box ( they pull straight out no tools & are a little hard to push back in take your time - Plastic don't break!!)
3. Remove glove box .Look into hole where glove box used to be. Right side you'll see cover with bolt in middle (8mm I think) remove cover.
4 Replace missing or dirty filters. There are 2 filters . They sit side by side.
5. Reverse process to close.

FYI : Home depot furnace air filter for $3.95 can be cut to size and works just great for a lot less than the $30. cost of these filters at some places. You can make 2 sets and have a replacement for next year!! Enjoy!

Acceleration no air, foot off gas air barely blows out vents

The vent is controlled by vacuum. Check the condition of the vacuum hose associated with the vent control. What is happening is when you decelerate, the intake manifold vacuum increases, and a diaphram is slightly pulled giving you air in the vent but very little. In normal condition the diaphram wont even pull. Solution is check for a vacuum leak in the vent control trace it coming from the intake manifold.

2004 Chevy Silverdo Crew Cab

if your ac is on max i believe it recirculates the air in the car by sucking air in by the defrost vents and blows it back out of the normal vents try to move the controls to make sure the that the shutters are working and make sure the ac is not on max by selecting the knob that has an arrow going through the little car instead of the circular one that might fix the problem
