I have a hose that catches water from the windshield and is suppossed to drain through the engine. The problem is that my recent mechanice put in a non standard hose and it now drains water near the Serpintine belt, which s causing major sqeeking and at times the belt comes right off during a big rain storm. Does anyone know where I canget the proper hose or fix the problem for a 1996 Plymoth Grand Voyager

Local auto parts store will sell that part. I had the same issue with my car and a few clients have had that issue. We ended up just taking the tube off completely. But we also live in California where the rain isnt all that bad.

How do i drain radiator

Most radiators have a 1/4" drain cock at the bottom of the reservoir.

If not??? (haven\'t seen one yet) then remove the bottom hose.

Make, year & model of the vehicle will help. And if the radiator is original.

My 2006 Mustang recently had water leaking beneath the dash on the passenger side. Water was about 1/2" deep. We had about 2 inches of rain during the night and I saw it running down as I drove off.

Most cars have a void underneath ( inside ) where the wiper arms come out. It catches rain water off the windshield so that it doesn't run down the firewall inside the engine compartment where there could be some electrical stuff. There will always be a drain hose to drain that area , which can become pluged up with leaves etc. over time. If you can look around under the car , and possibly in the wheel well , you might find the other end of that drain hose. A quick shot of water at the car wash , backwards up the hose , is often enough to clear the drain. Otherwise you might have to open it up and clean it out. If that area became full of water , there are lots of places where it could leak through the firewall and into the car.
Of course , if the water is actually engine coolant , then I would say your heater core has a leak.

I recently had the rear windshield molding replaced on my 2002 ES300. I still get water in the trunk, however, it is not inside the visible part of the trunk. Instead, I hear water moving every time I...

Could be water is pooling inside one side of your trunk from a loose sunroof drain hose or power antenna drain hose. Check the drain hoses to make sure they are draining water down under the car and not into the trunk.

Yes it is normal just no hot air

1. When setting the temperature to MAX, blower level to FULL and outside air Vent CLOSED, no hot air comes out after 2-5 minutes?
If YES, when did you last flushed your radiator and is it full?
2. if more than 5 years ago, flush radiator system, instructions are usually in Owners manual. Use a bottle of Radiator cleaner, run egine hot for about 10-15 minutes, carefully open petcock in bottom of radiator to flush out radiator, WARNING, careful as flushed coolant would be boiling hot. As sson petcock is open and water start to flow out, carefully open radiator cap to enhance flushing flow. Use garden hose to fill radiator while flushing until water coming out from petcock is cold and clear.
Once clear, start engine, turn heter full and blower full blast and keep hose in radiator flowing full, leave petcock open until clear water flows out again. Once clear waters comes out, turn off engine, turn off garden hose and let water drain empty radiator. Once it stops flowing out, close petcock snug and put radiator cap on, pull off radiator coolant catch bottle, clean bottle for any debris and dirt. Drain any water, leave bottle empty and put it back onto its place.
3. Fill radiator with 1 gallon (4L) of concentrated coolant, top up radiator until full, fill catch bottle with concentrated coolant, start engine and keep it overflowing until no bubbles comes out and the radiator is fully hot. Once it is flowing good, close and connect everything. Drive with it and keep catch bottle filled as necessarry.
Good luck. Give as vote and good comment if this advise solve youor problem. Thank you.

Water accumulating in the passenger side floorboard of my 2007 Chrysler Town & Country.

If this is happening after it rains then I believe the drains of the outside vent trough are blocked. This trough is below the grill that appears at the bottom of your windshield. When you open the hood of the van it is at the back of the engine bay and runs the whole width of the van. Their should be two plastic hoses connected to it one on the left and the other on the right. If these hoses get blocked then the water no longer drains out of the trough and builds up until it enters your van. Pull these off and then see if any water comes out of the trough. You may have to use a screwdriver to clean out the holes in the trough or even remove the grill to see what is blocking them. Another cause of this problem is when a windshield gets replaced but the rubber between the grill and windshield is not put back. And finally another reason can be your AC drain is blocked.

To flush radiater

There are 2 hoses going to your radiator, one near the top and one near the bottom. With the engine cool, remove the radiator cap and then disconnect the lower hose from the radiator (BE SURE to have a catch can to catch all of the fluid!!!!, a few sips of this stuff will kill most cats/dogs). Once all of the fluid has drained out, reconnect the hose and fill the system with water and a radiator flush/cleaner (autoparts store). Drain it once again and refill the system with the correct mixture (usually 50/50 water and antifreeze). Or you can buy the pre-mixed kind at the store.

Good luck!

Water leak on passenger side on 99 chevy s 10 not anterfreeze, leaks when not being driven

there is only one thing that leaks water there, that is the AC condensation drain, water forms as part of the AC cooling the evaporator core, this water must be drained away or it will flood onto passenger area, so there is a drain on the passenger side at bottom of firewall, will leak allot of water depending on how humid the air is.
