I can't hear the caller but they can hear me what can cause this to happen

Hello Terry, Are you sure the other caller does not have their phone button set on MUTE? That would cause them to hear you but you can't hear them. Do you have the same problem from other callers? If so, it must be a problem with your phone.

Hi. i am a regular user of google talk..but since one week i cant talk properly thru google talk.i caould hear from the other end..but they can hear only my broken voice.my head phones work fine with...

Make sure the volume for your microphone is turned on. Here's how:
  1. Click the 'Start' menu in your taskbar, and highlight 'Settings.'
  2. Select 'Control Panel.'
  3. Locate 'Sounds and Audio Devices' in the Control Panel, and double-click the icon.
  4. Open the 'Volume' tab, and click 'Advanced...' in the 'Device volume' section.
  5. Look for 'Microphone' in the 'Volume Control' box that opens, and make sure your microphone is enabled and the volume is high enough.
  6. Close the 'Volume Control' box, and then click 'OK.'
If you're using an external microphone, and the volume is set properly, check that the device is securely connected to your computer.
And if that doesn't solve the problem, make sure your microphone of choice is selected in the 'Output - speakers or headset' drop-down menu in the 'Audio' section of your Google Talk Settings.

Cheers!!

Nedd to reset radios back to factory settings.

Hello,

What is the signal strength of the radio and is other similar radio able to communicate?

It could be that the signal antenna of your radio is faulty, maybe that is why it is not communicating with other radios. check if others are able to communicate with each other because the fault could be from the radio weather station.

I will advice you check the manual of your radio to get the procedure on how to reset it.

Take care.

No heat

If everything else is working, air direction and selection, blower speeds etc. Then first make sure coolant level is full if it is then make sure your thermostat is opening by watching your temp gauge on the dash and feeling your radiator hoses, both upper and lower, after the car has ran for about 10 minutes or so. Going into the engine they should be fairly close in temp. Then check your heater core for blockage by feeling your heater hoses coming out of the passenger compartment along the firewall in the engine compartment, they also should be fairly close in temp. If one is hot and the other cool then youor heater core is blocked. Also check your blend door, this is the door that controls airflow over your heater core or a/c evaporator in the air distribution compartment. When you move the control you can sometimes hear it moving from inside the car. Otherwise you will have to get up under the dash and listen and look to see if its moving. Hope that helps.

Have logitech cam, person on other end can't hear me but can see me, i can see her and hear her. what end is the problem on? we are using skype.

Try use the skype options, setup.
That will step through checking and setting up the camera and microphonr FOR SKYPE.
You need to set up you eqipment for skype.

Also check the microphone levels for your camera by right click the volume control, call up properties and select audio, make sure your camera is listed as the "recording device" and the same in "voice"

Now close the boxes and right click on volume control again this time select "open volume control" make sure "microphone" is in the list.

whilst there select "properties" then tick "recording then OK

Make sure there is a tick in "microphone here too this is important.
move the slider to about 3/4 up

If there is an "advanced" button under micropohone then click it the tone contols may be greyed out but try putting a tick in the "mic boost" and close any boxes that are open

You should be ready to try skype again you may have to make some small alterations to the recording level and the volume level for the microphone (they are two seperate things as you have just seen) but yo should be good to go

Cobra LI7200

Please don't touch any internal adjustments. It is like a 10 digit combination lock that is set to open. If you start changing the numbers, you will never get it open.
I think the problem is with your tone coded squelch (CTCSS). Your radio channel is like a telephone party line. If your CTCSS is not on, everytime you turn your radio on you will hear anyone on that channel that is close enough to hear.
If you are trying to use these radios for serious communications, that will drive you nuts to hear everybody else talking but not about what you need to hear. To try to mitigate this problem, CTCSS was created. There are 38 different codes. If you for example set your unit to operate on code 11 and your other unit is set to operate on code 12, you could not hear each other.
Now let's add a third unit set to not use CTCSS at all. Neither one of you will be able to hear this third unit but he can hear both of you. Now you set the second unit to code 11 like the first unit. Now you will be able to hear each other. The third unit will still be able to hear both of you but since he is not transmitting code 11, you still can't hear him.
If you are hearing some traffic, it is because they have their CTCSS set to the same code that you are set to. Look in you operators manual for CTCSS Privacy Codes. Set your radios accordingly and I think you will be in business. Let me know if this doesn't take care of you problem.

Realtek audio drivers problem

Are you using a "headset" with a microphone attached to it?

Here's something to check:
right click the speaker in your taskbar (bottom right of screen)
Click Adjust Audio Properties..
Click Audio Tab
Look at "Sound Recording" box.. click Volume
Make sure the "select" checkbox is set for the input you're using. (usually Internal MIC or just MIC)
Close window, restart your audio program and you're set to go!

The card was below requirements for the spore starter kit that i have.i removed some of my other games on my computer hopeing that would help.I am not sure what i need to do .can you help?

Normally, when they post minimum requirements, it is fairly close to the bottom line where it just will not work without changing hardware. If you are close enough that your hardware might work, you could turn all performance tuning off on your video card. Things such as antialiasing. go into the setting of you card. just right-click on your desktop like you are changing your monitor's resolution. then select the advanced tab. you video card should have a tab in that window that will let you disable all the advanced settings your card has available. change every setting that's Set to "software selects" and set them to their lowest setting. This might get you by, but it will be kind of rough visually.

Best bet would be to get a better card.

Sound not working for certain games

First. If the sound is working but you are experiencing problems with some sounds? its either the way the game is or its a program specific problem. Because the other game doesnt work I would recommend updating the audio drivers. If you provide specs on the Motherboard (make & model #) I could help you find them.

Hope this helps.
