You can get a knock if the octane rating is too low. But more likely, because there is ethanol in the fuel you are using. Try a tank of no ethanol fuel if it is available in your area. You may want to replace your spark plug caps they may be robbing of the spark you need at take off. They simply unscrew off of the end of the wires. They should read 5000 OHM's no higher , no lower. If you purchase new NGK brand plug caps they will only cost about $5 each.

How do you place a 193 interstate on a motorcycle jack stand?

You need to stand on the left side of the bike. Look on the frame for a good hand hold about at the middle of the seat. Put the stand down on the ground and with one motion, lift up on the bike at the same time you press down with your foot on the stand lever. You kind of have to pick it up..Hope this helps FixYa up.

What's the best way to remove the rear whell on a 1983 Honda Aspencade?

Center stand the bike if possible high enough that you can drop the wheel out the bottom other wise you may have to take off the saddlebags , loosen the rear axle nut, take out the bolt, knock out the spacer , lift the caliper assembly out of the way and hang it by a wire, grab the wheel, and slide it sideways away from the final drive. The wheel should slide right off the spline of the final drive and roll out the back under the fender. If the wheel wont slide past the final drive let the air out of the tire. Be sure to coat the spline of the final drive with moly60 paste from your local Honda dealer when reassembling

No rear brakes on 1985 honda goldwing aspencade. What could be the problem ?

Check your rear brake resevoir. Fill it with Dot 4 brake fluid and proceed to bleed the brakes, If this does not resore your braking and there is no sign of a leak on the rear caliper, you will have to replace the seals in the master cylinder, or the complete cylinder.

82 1100 aspencade, rattles and knocks when you gently accellerate. If you get into it a little is does'nt do it nearly as bad.

Ethanol in the fuel causes knocking in older high octane motorcycles. If it is fuel related , you will have to find non-oxygenated premium for classic cars to cure the problem.

New Pads new brake line cleaned and rebuilt caliper

It is one of two possible things:
There's corrosion in the caliper. Specifically in the groove that holds the piston seal. Take the seal out and scrape all signs of corrosion from the groove.
OR, the master cylinder has a gummed up check valve. Sometimes, you can take the master cylinder off, clean it out with hot soapy water (Simple Green works very well), blow it out with compressed air - and it'll be fine (without taking it apart). Otherwise, you'll need to get the rebuild kit and replace all of its internal moving parts.

1982 Aspencade rear suspension Hits solid

Check rear swing arm. When the bike is on the center stand, check the distance of the rear tire to the ground, if it looks too low, might have to do some work. Also, check the rear shock springs.
