Hello,
you would need to set the correct length for the barcode, there are several settings at the page 186 of the Product Manual located here http://support.symbol.com/support/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=5880807apdf
The options are One Ddiscrete Length, Length Within a Range or Any Length. Please select one of them by scanning the approriate barcode.
Hello **** roche. You said you were using C39 fonts. Does that mean that you are making the barcodes yourself? If so, then you will want to begin and end all of your barcodes with an asterisk (*). This denotes a start/stop function in Code39 barcodes. Without it, the barcode will decode a check digit automatically. This only occurs when making the barcodes yourself as the human data (what you type in) and the input data (what the barcode actually contains) are identical. So, when typing out your barcodes, simply start and end the code with an asterisk. Like this: *ABC-123*. That should do it. If not, please feel free to send me a message or an email and I will be happy to help you further. I hope this solves your problem. Good luck!
