    Hi.

I gave you the pictures. If they were still blurry you could have printed them out.

I see that you gave me negative feedback. Taking the pictures from the service manual in paper took quite some times. Sorry that you found all that unhelpful.

    Goodbye.

Place an pan under the motor, open the drain bolt, and allow the oil to drain into the pan. Replace the drain bolt using a new aluminum sealing washer. Now remove the nine bolts holding the right side cover on to the motor. Now remove the right side cover. If it is stuck, tap on the side of it gently with a plastic hammer till it pops. There are four bolts that hold the clutch pressure springs into the clutch boss (outer clutch cover). Remove the four bolts/washers/and springs, now you should be able to remove the clutch boss (outer cover). Now you can remove the clutch plates as a pack being careful not to lose the order they are placed in the clutch hub/basket. Inspect the metal plates , if they are not burnt or scored you should be able reuse them. Otherwise , take all your fiber plates and soak them in oil overnight or at least coat the friction surfaces before you place them into the clutch basket. Replace the clutch boss holding it on with pressure springs, washers, and bolts. Using a new gasket put the right engine cover back on and fill the engine with oil. Now go out and ride.

This a standard motorcycle clutch. An automatic clutch kit is available for $450 dollars but is not necessary. When you take off the clutch boss be careful that you do not lose the bearing that is located under the adjust bolt located in the center of the boss. In most cases the only adjustment that you will ever need to make will be the clutch cable slack adjustment located on the lever perch on the handle bar. If you have too much or too little slack to be able adjust the clutch properly, the adjuster nut and bolt in the center of the clutch boss may need minor adjustment. For expanded parts diagrams of your clutch assembly you can go here.http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcy...

Since your going to perform this procedure and most likely will need more detailed information for future repairs, you should purchase a repair manual. This site does not have full published repair manuals due to copywrite laws. It has been 6 days since your request, and a manual could have been in your hands already, job completed, and saved a lot of time. Plus you will have a manaul for reference on other repairs. There are many places online that a manual can be purchased.

I just lost everything i wrote...the first thing you want to do is get your fiber plates soaking in NEW oil. ok on the rh side off the motor you will see a round looking cover with 8 mm bolt heads remove them, after you have that off you will see the clutch there will a plate with 4 or 5 10 mm bolts heads remove then, you can now remove the clutch plates. the are stacked from back to front fiber steel fiber steel. after you have it apart you can then put it back togerth with the new fibers ( and steels if you got them)
in the reverse oder of taken it apart. i will send you the link so you can see how it come aparthttp://fiche.worldofpowersports.com/wps/Yamaha_OEM/YamahaDB.asp?Type=13&A=362&B=13
this should take you right to the clutch assembly, if not please let me know and i'll help you get there step by step. if you need more help please contact me

i sent you the micro phish it dose not get any clearer then that, i have given you step by step info on how to replace your clutch, if you need to replace more them the plates please say what you need to replace. i'm really not sure how to make clearer without talking to you on the phone or live chat. i understand that you want to get this fixed but please also keep in mind that we are using email to get this done and due to time zones and work you might have to wait for a answerback sometimes. before going to another expert it would be nice if you would give the first one a chance to reply back to you

Have ttr50 2008, starts in gear, doesn't shift properly. you did not list a TTR50 so I picked the TTR125, could you still answer my questions on a TTR50 thanks!

If the bike starts when it is in gear that would indicate that the clutch switch is sticking/broken? It is located between the clutch lever and the clutch lever assembly, normally a plastic bullet shaped switch with a switch that is depressed when the clutch lever is not engaged and released when the clutch lever is pulled in. The not shifting could be down to the chain not adjusted for freeplay correctly, also lub the gear change shaft. If the chain is adjusted then check freeplay on the clutch lever normally about 10mm, but check with your handbook.

It does sound like the engine has locked up, sorry. If you pull in the clutch does the rear wheel turn? If it does that means the engine has seized.

2005 TTR 125 will not shift into first gear Hello, I have a 2005 ttr125 that was shifting fine. We replaced the clutch plates and springs, oil and air filter. After we did this, I'm having trouble getting...

This is one of those issues that is really tricky to diagnose over the net but would likely take a few minutes to diagnose in person.

When it does drop into gear, does it jump or stall? Will it idle in gear, stopped with the clutch pulled in?

My initial thought is that the clutch is not being fully released (the plates are still in firm contact with eachother).

More than likely, the resolution is a fairly simple adjustment.
