Unable to identify the correct model of my bike. it is a 1986 50cc Automatic Yamaha Moped. I have had to list it as an PW 50 because it wont let me off this page without entering a model.

Hi amd thank you for your reply, I am trying to find the correct model so that I can get the correct parts to repair the bike I have in my shed.
On the left hand side of the bike's engine it has a small black lever, which can be moved to either a hi position, a neutral position, or a low position. It would appear that this lever has to be moved manualy by hand before getting on the bike after starting the engine.
There is a warning not to start the bike whilst in gear.

I hope this helps you be able to confirm weather it is a ruzz or not.

    Thank You

    Hi Afarri.
Thank you so much for your confirmation on what model my motorcycle is, all i need to do now is try to find the correct manual and spare parts supplier for the bike.
I think this may have to be a visit to Yamaha them selves.

    Your's most greatfully.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

May I ask what you want to know bout the bike? What you have can be a 1986 Yamaha Ruzz. It's well known during those days.

Have a good one and thank you for using FixYa!

1997 yamaha pw50 owners manual

Hi, Anonymous the vast majority of service, parts, and owners manuals on the internet are "FREE" to download and all service manuals contain wiring diagrams in the back pages. The rest usually charge a modest fee around $10 sometimes more and there is a handful of obscure, rare, obsolete, and very old models that are no longer or never were available, then there is eBay where you may be able to find what you need at a very high price because of its age and rarity. Most of the "FREE" manuals will cover your exact make, model, and year otherwise one will be provided that comes as close as possible to your bike and will have most of the same info that an exact manual would have. To download your manual please click on the blue links below. Good luck and have a wonderful day.
