Start bike from cold with radiator cap off - look for constant flow of air bubbles Or, if you more mechanically minded then the best test is a leak down test but milky oil nearly always means head gasket needs to be replaced Without seeing it is hard to diagnose but only other thing could be old clutch plates - these too can color the oil when old or worn out. Puts a silvery tinge or turns the oil completely grey to look at if really bad
good luck - regards Jamie

That is the typical color when water is mixing with the oil.

If your oil is milky you are getting moisture in the crankcase. Does this unit set outside? make sure your crankcase vent is clear.

2000 durango milky substance in oil cap

milky in the oil cap is ok -- this is caused by condensation and oil mixing inside the oil cap and it is nothing to be worried about.
now if you look at the dip stick and you see a milky looking oil on it -- and if you do a oil change and notice it to be milky - then this is a sign that you may have a blown head gasket, and this you need to worry about.
