Depending on the red line for your bike,, you may just be floating the valves due to high RPM's

How do I go about fixing a reving issue on my bike? It doesnt like to rev past about 10,000 rpms. I was thinking maybe the carbs need to be rejetted. The bike will rev to redline in neutral.

Hi, Ani and the usual suspects are:
1. Severely drained or faulty battery.
2. Faulty regulator/rectifier or high output coil.
3. Faulty power valve, solenoid or installation.
4. Clogged air filter or exhaust.
5. Cracked or incorrect float level.
6. Float needle is not seating.
7. Faulty reed valve.

Why my bike shows petrol missing before 9000 RPM in 1st gears

I guess there must be any internal problem of bike. I think you should go for a mechanic. I am not the one so don't want to misguide you on the issue.

Does oil pressure cause the motorcycle die out at 10,000 RPM?

It can, But at 10000 rpm little problems at idle become huge problems. That is why it is a good thing to maintain your bike.

How many rpms should i go on my honda cbr 600

hi,i dont know a lot about this particular bike, but,as with any high revving sports bike you will need to keep the revs up before changing gear,an 883 sportster has a lot more torque than your bike and you can "short shift "them and let the torque do the work, however on a cbr i think you will need more rpm before you shift as they dont have the torque of your old harley,a friend of mine has an r6 yamaha, that thing revs out to nearly 17000 rpm he doesnt change untill about 9 or 10000 rpm, from memory your bike should be capable of nearly 60mph in first gear..hope this helps...cheers

St1300 will not run below 2000 rpm

your bike has three different fuel delivery methods...choke , low speed or pilots in the old days, and main fuel rails or mains in the carb days. your choke or idle circuit is not working. on fuel injected bikes you have a relay which you need to get checked to see if it's a possible contributor. best to take to honda dealer and they can diagnose the problem. hope that helped a little sir.

What will I do when the bike is not running god under 3000 RPM The engine have not run even 10000 km

Only burn the best gas. I had a one cylinder Ducati, and I could tell one brand gas from another by how it started and ran. Find high octane, not necessarily aviation fuel, but the best on the street. When in doubt, change the plugs. If you are doing only low rpm running, you will need hotter plugs to keep themselves burned clean. If you are doing a lot of good rpm running, colder plugs will work, but that's usually just for racing.

998 cutting out at 9000rpm

so I don't think it should be the rev limiter at 9k. It's not bouncing like a rev limiter it just stops firing the cylinders and the comes back again when the throttle is released. It has the stock 996r ECU. Since I got it I've fitted a smaller battery to make room for frame sliders. Could this cause the bike to cut out earlier? It cuts out then runs fine again. The other things I can think of is fuel delivery. But I'm not sure the symptom is correct for that? Any thoughts would be appreciated. In any case I'll put the stock battery back on to see if that helps, but I wont know the answer until next Friday when I'm going to the track,I recently had a problem with one of my Guzzis acting like that at 6k RPM. Always at 6k RPM, but only under load. Ended up being a restricted air intake. Really strange, because it acted just like a rev-limiter. So, does it only act this way under load, or also if you just rev the bike in neutral? If it's a limiter problem or tach error, it should still have the problem even with no load. If the problem is only under load, then it's either a fuel or air problem.,,,
