Question about 2009 Ducati SportClassic Sport 1000 S

Hi can u please tell me what 2 do with the lambda sensor on my 2009 1000s i put the racing termis and ecu and air box, i got a sump plug with washer looking thing and some sort of electrical looking plug thing in the kit,do i take sensor out and plug it up or leave it as please tell me my name is joseph from ryde australia

Lambda sensor signal wire


If u mean bypass as in putting a new wire in, I'd be in plugging the Ecu connector and lambda sensor then running a simple test to make sure u got the right wire , a four wire lambda is 2 heater wires usually the same colour which when on is positive 1 5v Ecu feed and a earth

I have 99 bmw 323i.i ran it hot and got prob fixed and now the eml and a triangle with circle around it comes on dash and car has no power.feels like it has a rev limiter.wats wrong with my car


have throttle body checked also the MDK throttle motor,
make sure that the dealer has followed service bulletin 12 07 99 for procedure to replace the MDK throttle motor
also have them check for codes,here are some codes,
it could be an expensive job,have them check everything,it is most likely the throttle motor,,throttle body is 600 if they switch it,dont let them do it without checking throttle motor,

Does a 1993 geo prizm 1.8L lsi have two temp sensors?


buy the manual. and RTM,
and yes, Air , water, and on a stock car up to 3 coolant sensors.
The ECT runs the ECU. tells ECU coolant temp.
my guess is the coolant gage is dead? RTM
on most 93 car, the Guage has its own sensor, (isolated)

It is possibly a Camshaft Sensor problem, it usually happen when the engine is very hot most likely at 80-90 *C the camshaft sensor failed and the ECU cannot recieve a signal from the camshaft sen. causing delay in ignition spark and fuel injection, or misfiring..

Not sure, but I believe the lambda sensor is the feedback sensor, to determine if the mixture really is right.
On most cars that is the oxygen sensor I believe, and is located in the exhaust manifold or the top of the exhaust pipe.

replace lambda probe expensive but it will run ok after that, i dont know if you know how they work so here's a brief: lambda tells ecu how rich the exhaust gasses are, ecu ajusts fuel input as neccasery eg lambda says not anough fuel ecu puts more in and the other way round.
so if your lambda is covered in **** when you get it out just clean and put it back, if it looks clean enough it needs replacing!! jezza

plugged air filter will result in too lean.not too rich. have the fuel pressure tested. overfuelling will result in the catalytic converter overheating.if the 02 sensor on the catalytic is no good,it will not sense unburnt fuel and the ecu will overfuel. check the air inlet hose and the airflow meter

How many wires 1 ,3 or 4 and colours on lambda sensor? on most lambda sensors the Black wire is the sender wire but on yours I`m sure its blue ,as for the tacho gauge you need a wiring diagram for the ECU as you need to connect it there or pull the dash clocks out (carefully)

Ducati-1098 fouled plugs


Theoretically a zero map in the PC effectively eliminates it from the fueling circut as though it wasn't even there. Theoretically. I have one in mine and from what I can tell it does. That includes plug reading. So, assuming that's the case, the problem lies with the ECU fuel map, the adjustments in the circut or a bad sensor (engine coolant temp, ambient air temp,engine rpm, throttle position and I believe barometric pressure) giving false info to the ECU. It could also be something as simple as a filthy air cleaner. The ECU does not sense A/F ratio or mass airflow and relies solely upon a fixed map for fuel. A dirty airfilter would cause the richness. Were it me I would do a plug cut on the front cylinder at a steady highway rpm to see if it's rich at that engine speed and load vs only at idle/low rpm. Rich lower ranges will crap up a plug in no time and a cut will tell you if that's the case. Rather involved process but doesn't lie. The ECU map is rumored to be rich in the lower ranges. If that proves to be the case then it would be a simple matter of reducing fuel, via a negative map, in the rich rpm range. Given that they had it for two months and claimed they couldn't fix it would give me concern as to the qualifications of the dealer. It's just a machine and as such CAN be straightened out. I wouldn't buy into that at all. Lastly you can remove the PC and eliminate any possible effect it MAY be having. Not that hard to do, remove some bodywork and fuel tank, disconnect the PC injector connections, reconnect the stock ones and pull it out of there. Going back to stock is always good practice when confronted with something like this. Also you can then go back to the dealer KNOWING the problem is with the above mentioned stuff and KNOWING that it CAN be fixed if they've a mind to.

yes it does sound like fuel pressure regulater/put a new one on it /they go bad and used is not a good idea /also try unplugging air mass meter if is bosch with it running if its better replace it
