I have a kymco bug espresso 2005 model 150cc. about to do oil change and just read the bit in manual about gear oil. Does this scooter need that too?

Hi, Sonia excellent question it all depends on how long you have owned the scooter and it's mileage, engine oil needs to be changed every 2000 km or 1250 mi. gear oil needs to be changed every 4000 km or 2500 mi.I recommend 10w40 in a synthetic "motorcycle" (not automobile) engine oil if you can find it, Amsoil and Mobil1 are the best and for the rear differential, SAE 80w90 gear lube is recommended, for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Kymco, despair not, for a mere $0 you can download another one. For more information about your issue and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the links below. Good luck and have a nice day.

Hi plz asst me, I have jaguar x type 1999 model, I was change transmission oil in the gearbox, and now the gearbox not working. Plz I need asst

Hi, changing transmission oil can't cause your car not having gears. If your car is automatic transmission your car must be on idling and check level of transmission oil. If the level of oil is low you will not have gears.

How to control gear oil leakage in Renault Scenic 2.0. It is a 1998 model.

Where is the oil leaking from?
If from the ends of the drive shaft then its just a seal that needs to be replaced and if the drip is heavy i suggest changing it asap.

Hi! I have a ford mondeo automatic 2002 model. It looses power every time it changes gears especially from gear 2 to gear 3. The maximum speed that it does now is 40 km/hr but it starts well. Please help

HI,your ford may have gear problem which is common on ford mondeo, first check the gear oil if its reddish then your oil is ok and if its burnt like brown colour then you should change the gear oil as well the gear oil filter.

Gear oil change

Somewhere on the bottom or bottom outside edge of the gearbox is a drain plug. Drain the oil and put the plug back in place. Somewhere on the top of the gearbox casing, including the left and right outer case covers, you will find a dipstick for checking the oil level. Fill via the dipstick hole. Some bikes don't have an actual dipstick but only have a top plug. Normally you will find it near the kick starter lever. When no dipstick is provided, they expect you to drain the old oil and then re-fill with the amount of oil specified for the bike. Use 10w40 motor oil. NEVER use synthetic oils. They can screw up the clutch.
