Need a labeled carburetor diagram so I can synchronize, clean, and adjust the carbs. Also need to steps to change the diaphram adn check the timing chain. My engine seems to be running rich, how do I fix...

The site below has got all but the tappet clearances covered. You will need a service manual for the correct valve clearances or a friendly word to your dealer if you want to do it yourself.

Front and rear carbies' are depicted in exploded view form with all parts named and numbered. The diaphrams and idle adjustments are clearly shown. All sections of the bike are covered.

As for the timing chains, they are self adjusting and when adjustment runs out, the chains must be replaced.

Richness is governed by the size of the carby jets, smaller numbers are leaner.

Cheers!

I have a 1994 Intruder. It only starts and runs

The hot side is running way too lean. Have your carbs synchronized may help. Try draining the bowls. Good luck.

What will happen if I use automotive carb cleaner?

Nothing. Your best bet is to give to a professional. If you are somewhat mechanically inclined, you can tackle the job yourself. If you can get past dismounting the carburetors while remembering how it is installed into the bike (I recommend taking pictures), then you are more than capable of cleaning the carbs yourself. Let me know if you need any help with that. A service manual can be very helpful during this and other repair jobs. Remember, riding your bike is more fun after you fix something yourself.

Plugs are black aft.mrkt pipes bike runs good

Factory recommended plugs are the best. Ask your local dealer, and he will give you the correct plugs. If you are fouling plugs, look for a too rich mixture, or carbs flooding.

Vibration

The carbs should be synchronized every 20k miles. If you are having a roughness in idle then I would recommend the carbs being synched. If the problem is at higher RPM's I'd check to see if the motor has a harmonic dampener that can be adjusted. This often resolves vibration issues. I'm just not sure if this bike has one. These big bikes usually have some sort of adjustable dampening device internally.
I'd also like to have you check the motor mounts. This is a common problem if your bike has any rubber in the motor mounts. The rubber wears or even breaks and you often cannot see it until you actually try to remove the mount. Often they will fall apart in your hands.
These big motors all vibrate a bit so many of the manufacturers have realized that adding modified motor mounts is helpful.
