Hi, Motapujari popping on deceleration is usually caused by an air leak in the exhaust system and is generally located where black carbon soot is seen as a flashing build up from any joint connection. This condition can easily be remedied by removing and cleaning both joint pieces and reassembling with high temp silicone and the correct torque applied to the exhaust clamps where present. Coughing is usually caused by an air leak in the intake system and will generally have the same telltale signs of location by a wet or damp buildup of oil/gas seepage at the intake manifold to cylinder head or carburetor connection and in rare instances a worn throttle plate shaft and or seals. Spitting is usually caused by a faulty accelerator pump and or nozzle, or the float bowl needle and seat leaking and overflowing through the main jet mixing well nozzle, or the air-fuel mixture screw set to lean. For more information about your issue, please visit the websites below, and for specific information or questions. Good luck and have a nice day. K1100LT

When cold starts but dies.to start, peddle to floor, rev a minute then it idles but at times dies when accelerating from a stop. Raw gas smell present and puff of blue smoke when it starts.

have you checked the cylinder compressions as backfire and blue smoke can be a symptom of low compression , either rings or valve seats but would need a dropdown test to be sure

First there was occasional white smoke, loud engine rattle, cutting out on full throttle and poor starting. the injectors were serviced but the engine has refused to start.

White smoke is usually an indication of a blown head gasket. Check you oil (dipstick) for a milky looking color instead of normal oil. Pull a spark plug and look to see if there's moisture on it. All of the symptoms you've given point towards a bad head gasket

The idle has an intermittant stumble

Your Idle Air Control (IAC) valve may be dirty with carbon, simple fix with throttle body cleaner through the IAC passageway through the throttle body. Make sure it's throttle body cleaner and not carburetor cleaner, the carb cleaner is to corrosive to the gaskets used on the throttle body.
If cleaning the IAC does not help, then it's a good chance that the IAC is to far gone and will need to be replaced.
Good luck and thank you for using fixya

if the blue smoke is constant then it is valve seals and guides, if it is only after depressing the throttle then it is the rings
