Question about 2001 Buell Blast
The problem is most likely the Vehicle Speed Sensor, they were junk on the older bikes and fail. You can replace it easy. Buy a new sensor, Americansportbike.com or your Harley dealer will have them.
To get to the sensor, remove the belt guard that covers the front pulley, you will see the sensor mounted to the top of the transmission.
