Have you checked that you have compression? remove the spark plug and put you finger over the hole and try starting the bike your finger should be pulled into the hole
and how old is the fuel? it starts to break down after a few months

check for spark take the plug out of motor and plug it in the wire lay on top of the motor on metal of engine roll it over and watch for spark if you have spark you can put a little bit of gas in spark plug hole and tighten in the spark plug and wire then try and it should start if it wont keep running check or fuel in the carb drain screw

96 tahoe turns over but wont start 1/2 tank of gas carbs clean gas gets to carb but i got no spark I just change the distributor' coil the MAP sensor new plugs and wires last November and really haven't...

Did you visually check for spark at the spark plugs, engine cranking? Does the dist rotor turn when you crank it? Did you use a gage and check correct fuel pressure? Any applicable trouble codes? To check codes, yourself, at the least, you need an obd2 code reader.

If you have the spider fuel system, that system is noted for problems. No, the fuel system shouldn't cause a no spark. If no rpm signal, that will usually stop the injector pulse along with other issues.

Possible that the cylinder is flooded and so it will be best to remove the PLUGS and flush by cranking out the excess fuel. Now test the GAP on the plugs, reset to specification.
Also check the spark intensity. If low check the coils and HT wires.

Suzuki bandit 400vc hard starting been to mechanic . do carb overhaul and carb synch but still hard starting. . already change the starter motor nothing happens . . everytime i push start button nothing...

You only have 2 ways to go......1. fuel .....2. spark, if your cranking your bike, first off try this. crank it with no choke . if nothing happens , take your choke pull it all the way out, now crank it.
if it fires, push choke half way in, continue to crank, it should start . If nothing happens a all .

You have to pull out spark plugs, look at them closely . Is it soaked with gas ? or is it dry as a bone ? if it is soaked with gas, clean it up and dry it off, now check your gap it should be alright
but just check it anyways if the gap is to much it will not fire inside the cyclinder, if it is closed
to much it will not fire . take your plug put it back in just the plug wire and rest it up against the
head or any metal surface, now crank your bike if it has a good blue spark your good with the
electrial check both plugs same way . Now if that is ok , then you have to move on to the fuel.
if you have new clean fuel, good , if it is old like lat years get rid of it . drain everything tank and
all of your fuel filters replace, make sure all of your lines are flowing and carb will clean them self.
give it a little bit after it starts running be gentle with let everything catch up. If it needs final

adjustment on carbs take it back to who ever rebuilt them . Good Luck

My 1974 Yamaha 250 Enduro wont start I have cleaned and redone the carb. I have changed the coil pack and spark plug. Any suggestions will help Im not a mechanic by any means so not sure where to start...

you need good compression ( at least 90 psi , kicking it with the throttle open) , good crankshaft seals for sucking the fuel/air into the botton end, proper point gap and timing set for spark ( spark should be big and fat,if not the source coil is weak,, this is a flywheel magnito ignition and it needs no battery to fire the plug) if you clean the carb, make sure you also clean the choke pickup tube or it wont choke. also make sure you have the slide installed in the right direction ( not backwards and the idle is not set too high at first...compression/****-good spark at the right time-proper fuel/air ratio and it will run

Dt 124r wont start

Check if the spark plug is getting sparks.
Check if the spark plug is wet with fuel after a few cranking.
Hope you have cleaned the carb well ..blowing compressed air to its jets and also checked the float level inthe float chamber.

Is the kill switch on? Good battery? The side stand should be up. Is the choke on? Is the bike in neutral? Have you checked the fuses? Headlight should be off.

Get new stock plugs from the dealer. Check to see that the choke will open and close properly. Drain the carbs then remove and clean the fuel valve water trap bowl. Check the wiring harness for unplugged wires and loose connections. When was the last time you installed an air filter?

Problem start bike. Push a starter and only clik , bike wont start. Suzuki 250gc 2004

Sounds like a bad battery. Try charging overnight with a 1 or 2 amp charger.
If this doesn't help then go to the dealer and ask for the stock plugs for your bike. Check for spark on each of the new plugs then install the plugs.

Remove the carbs , dissemble it and clean the varnish out. Remove the petcock, ( gas valve ),water trap and clean it out. Next let one cup of gas flow into a container. Any water or rust in the bottom of the container? If any rust was in the water trap or the container then purchase an inline fuel filter to eliminate the rust getting into the carb.

If cleaning the carb yourself does not do the trick then take it to the dealer and have them clean it and install a carb kit. This should eliminate the carb as a problem. Get a new air filter and install it.

Now you have spark, gas and air. If it still will not start it is likely that you need new crank seals. On a bike that old you may well need new crank bearings as well.

My 50cc mini bike starts then dies 5 secs after starting. why?

It sounds like you may have 2 problems

  • Bad gas
  • dpossible loose spark plug( bad compression)

dump out the gas put new in
Remove the spar plug and examine the plug if it is wet and black it is fouled
if it is white ad dry it is not getting gas

If you can replace the spark plug if not just clean it with a wire brush put back in and tighten

Finally make sure the spark plug wire is not lose

Best of luck to you
