Question about 2007 Bajaj Discover DTS-I

1 Answer

Hi I have a Bajaj Discover 125 2006 model and recently the engine has started overheating massively, the power of bike has also come down and the avg has also taken a hit. I have changed engine oil, oil and air filter and had the carburettor cleaned but still the problem persists. I had also given the bike to the service station and the heating problem vanished for a week and now the bike gets hot on short trips as well. I also have another problem of the chain making the noise i guess it touches the chain cover, the mechanic has tried oiling the chain but the problem persists, his next solution is to take out the chain and bang the same on the road since the flexibility of the chain is not very good and hence makes the sound. Please let me know how i can get the problem rectified.

Start by installing a new chain. Any chain that kinks up is a funeral, (yours), waiting to happen. Chances are that replacing the chain will fix all the problems you mentioned.
