You don't say the age or type of bike but it's possible that your carbs are slightly out of balance with more fuel getting to one than the other.

Will not accelerate. Adjusted the L and H according to manual specifications and it still does not accelerate.

You can adjust the H as much as you want...forget the manual.. that's how they adjust from the factory. Now that your carburetor is used, you will need to adjust beyond the factory settings. Hold the trigger all the way in while you turn the H in quarter increments

First tighten it back snug, now turn it counter clockwise 1 full turn. Start from there. Start up the unit, now hold the trigger in, if it bogs out as soon as u do, just hold it halfway in next time until you start hearing the engine revving up more and more, always hold the throttle in though when adjusting the H needle... the L is the opposite... just leave it idle when turning the L..

Poulan leaf blower won't start

Check compression. 120-140 is good. over 100 it will run. Less than 90 is below service limit. Remove the muffler and look at the cylinder and piston. Do you see lines running up and down? a dull grey color? Those are signs that the motor is burnt up. The cylinder should be shiny, almost chrome, with no marks on the walls.
A severely flooded engine will give a false low compression reading. If no visible damage is found in the cylinder- its shiny with no marks- then reinstall the muffler, remove all fuel from the tank, open the choke, give full throttle and pull start cord several times. Maybe 10 or more times. If it starts keep the throttle open and let it run full speed until it runs clean. Then add good fuel and try to run. If it runs that's great. If it continues to flood itself the diaphragms are stiff and the carb needs rebuilt.

2004 V Star yamaha 1100 has a putt putt sound through the exhaust. cann't find a exhaust like or vaccum leak bike runs great starts right up and good gas mileage also air induction pump sh

Well,...either someone has toyed with the baffles inside the mufflers,or they have rusted, and are starting to come apart. My reccomendation would be to buy a set of aftermarket slip-ons,or a full exhaust system.Good Luck!

I have a Kawasaki Ninja, ZX6r, 1997 F3. The bike starts great and rev's great when standing. At high rev's its as sweet as a nut. The problem seems to be when riding the bike and the revs are below 4,000....

There are adjustments on carbs for low speed air intake (air mixture screw)find out factory settings and reset that mixture.Sounds to me like those adjustments are out of sink.If so the bike will run very bad from idle to about 1/4 throttle then run great from there up to full throttle.this definitly sounds like carb problem.

Poulan 220 pro chain saw. Started and ran great for about 1 tank of gas. Now, it will start easily with full choke, but dies as soon as I pull the throttle.

Most warranties are effective for 1 to 5 years. Do nothing that may impact your warranty. A written diagnosis by a good independent saw shop ($10-20) might be a good idea at this point. It is difficult to argue repair charges with an authorized repair facility without some documentation in your favor.
1. Was this saw perhaps operated without oil mixed with the fuel?
· Remove the spark plug wire and plug.
· Remove the muffler, hold a light at the plug hole and inspect the cylinder through the exhaust port. Is it smooth and shiny or does it appear speckled with dull gray spots or smears?
· Pull the starter slowly, inspect the piston as it rises and falls. Is it a dull gray without scratches and gouges?
· Hold the light at the exhaust port and inspect the cylinder, above the exhaust port, through the spark plug hole. Is it shiny and smooth or speckled with gray spots or smears?
Any spots or smears on the cylinder or deep scratches and gouges in the piston indicate the saw was operated in a lean condition. Repair of this on a home owner quality saw often exceeds replacement cost. A repair estimate by the independent saw shop should be considered. HTH

My 2003 yz250 runs full throttle as soon as it is started. Checked the obvious stuff - carb started revving out of control intermitantly now its full time. Any ideas?

3 things... First twist the throttle rapidly and listen for the carb slide to move up and down,, ya should hear a clicking in the carb... if so slide ok.. Sure bout the throttle cable ? At grip ? When starting the bike takes alot of kicks to get started ? As if were flooded ?
