Question about 2003 Honda CR 125 R

Put a new piston in my 89 cr 125 i put 2 small holes in the front of piston and put it in will not run took apart the old piston has a opening at the rear of piston the new one is a wisco and has no hole what is it for

IT is a port piston You have the wrong piston. Replace piston with right one MOPAR KENNY

I have a 2000 yz 125. Melted a hole in the piston but didnt score cylinder. Replaced top end. Wont start. Has good fire. Crank case oil was a little grey. New plug,fluids,fuel.

I would be checking compression it may not be visible score on cylinder but it does not take much to loose compression on small bore motor with one piston ring and 11 years old

I have a 2004 CR 125 it has less than 50hrs on it. it has fouled plugs since i bought it i have had it rejetted by the dealer. if it sat more than two days you would have to pull the plug and pour fuel...

Hi i had the same problem with a 2003 rm 250 and it was the crank shaft oil seal i replaced that on the clutch side and i put in a new plug and took it out it was spiting oil for bout 10mins of riding and then it was fine so maybe try that seal hope tht helps

Piston rings may be sticking after sitting for so long. It may serve you well to remove the top end, paying special attention to the timing alignment as you do. Visually inspect the piston and rings. ensure the rings can move freely in their grooves. Look at the piston for signs of blow-by. A burned up surface of the piston that extends past the rings onto the skirts. You may simply re-ring this machine and it would solve your problem if you view these problems.

120 psi means you need top end( should be around 160psi) if you can feel the score marks with your finger you will have to have the cylinder bored and install a over-sized piston kit,if you cant feel them than you can have it the stuck power valve is why you didn't have any power,take them out and clean all the carbon deposits off them and reinstall, pay close attention to how they come out so you can put them back the same way...if you have a manual you can check the adjustment specs on them on to the crank,the first indication of bad crank seals or bearings is losing your trany fluid,if you don't feel any unusual vibration or hear any unusual whining or have a large amount of lost trany fluid your probably OK with the crank.......yz-maniac

2003kx 125 thew new piston does not have arrow to

first time i heard of a piston without a mark, is this an OEM, if it is after market, consult the manual, else have it replaced, same goes with OEM.

I put a new piston and gasket kit on my cr 125 1997 and it still has no compression at all you can push down the kick lever with your hand??i need help i just bought it two weeks ago

Honda 4 stroke, correct? It sounds like you have the valve timing off. Put a compression gauge on it and if you have 0 compression ,you shou;d reck your valve timing. Good Luck

93 cr 125 has lack of power and a loud nocking

In a 2 stroke engine there are no valves and thus no adjusting required.The itself acts as a valve too.
Maybe you will have to rebore the cylinder and fit an oversize piston -kit or if the cylinder is to its tolerance thn fit in new setoof piston rings.

Bike bogged down like plug fouled now wont start

Based on the information given, I think you may have a hole in the top of the piston. It sounds like pre-ignition, ( AKA detonation and engine knock ). Pull the cylinder head and check the piston and cylinder head. Sometimes the top outer edge of the piston disintegrates due to the heat. Replace the piston and rings and remove the carbon from the head. Be sure you run 32/1 mix on gas and oil. That's 4oz two stroke oil per gallon of gas. Only use premium gas.

Remove and clean the carb. Be sure the carb mount bolts and carb manifold bolts are tight. An air leak will cause the engine to run hot.

excessive piston clearance.really needed bore job with oversized piston,not just honed and rings.measure piston to cylinder clearance,check spcifications and verify

Engine locked up

no use changhing the piston / rings / sleeve .,you need to split the engine and replace the crankshaft and con rod bearings.although renew the piston kit complete..
