1) Turn your key to the on position (dash lights will come on)
2) Push the odometer button until the total miles are displayed and keep holding it.
3) Turn the key Off, and then back ON while holding the odometer button in.Don't let up on the button. You will notice the odometer reading shows dashes and they will sequence off. After they sequence off, the Maint Reqd light will go off. Release the odometer button

Sitting at a red light. ch engine light comes on and the vehicle shuts off

you can do a self test to find out which trouble code is present. insert key in ignition. turn the key;
off-on, off-on, off-on. ( "on" is when the dash lights come on and "off" is one click back) The codes with either display on the digital odometer or flash out on the check engine light- the codes will be in pairs of numbers with 5-5 being the end of the test. report back with your findings so that we may help you solve the problem

How to turn off oil light after oil change

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I very seriously doubt simply changing the oil will solve your problem. Your oil light is signifying a potential problem which your vehicle is trying to tell you about. I would check into the oil sending unit, oil pump, or if equipped possibly even the oil temperature sending unit.

How do u reset change oil light &low tire

For the oil you turn the key on and the engine off push the accelerater all the way to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds.Remember engine off key on.For the tire reset there is a fuse panel on the passengers side.Remove the cover and you will see a red reset button.Hold it for 5 seconds and the light should flash 3 times and then go off.It is now reset. If it does not reset try again. If it still does not reset then you will have to take it to the dealership and get it repaired. Hope this helps.Good luck.

2009 toyota tacoma service engine light...how do i turn it off

if you are talking about the maintanence due, light it's quite simple; turn the key on' with the engine off. make sure that the odometer is in the odometer mode and not one of the trip settings. if it is in a trip setting reset to odometer mode. now turn the key off and push the the odometer reset button and hold it, turn on the key(don't release yet) and wait ill the odometer reads 000000. you are now done. if you are talking about the "check engine" or the "service engine soon"light, then your problems are a little more complicated then that and indicate that the computer has picked up a signal from one of the many sensors indicating a problem in one of the monitored systems. being as since this is a 2009 vehicle it should be under warranty regardless of weather you are the first owner or not as long as it's under 36,000 miles for non emission and 80,000 miles for emission related repairs

Change Oil Warning won't go away.

Depends on model and features. 2009 SEL, with no rear seat entertainment:

Place ignition in "Key On, Engine Off" position, then push gas pedal to floor and release 3 times. Turn ignition off, and it should be reset.

The procedure was in the owners manual in the section about the odometer and related features.

on my 2004 ram 2500, I had to depress the trip odometer button and turn on the Ignition. all lights on instrument panel will illuminate, continue to hold button in and tach/speedomenter will run full up and back down. once this has completed, the obd codes will be shown in the odometer.

Good Luck

Check engine light

Try the following:
1. Make sure the odometer is shown (not trip meters). Turn key to the Off position. 2. Press the odometer button AND turn the ignition key to the ON position for a few seconds. 3. You will hear a ding and the odometer will show four or five underscores to indicate the reset is done.
