XV1100 Starter does not engage when trinig to start engin

sorry didn't actually see the post before my first comment, if it is only when the bike is warm or hot but not over heated I would suspect the same thing, faulty starter. "replace or rebuild"

yes about the stator have you checked the batt power with the bike running, charge the batt get the bike running see what your meter reads should be 13v aprox. trun bike off leave meter on batt and see if it starts counting down if so the batt could be pooched and the fuel issue could just be junk plugged up the filter around the petcock

Batt. not ataying charged

Check output of battery when bike is idling.
If still 11 volt, then your charger, which is the magneto is faulty or the wire is broken from it to your battery. If the charge varies when you test when engine dead to engine idling, wire is fine. Should be 13 to 13.5 volt when idling if magneto is ok.

Dell inspiron 1300 does not see the battery

remove battery check if laptop works fine with ac adapter, if not then download the latest bios version first if fails then replace ac adapter. If laptop works fine with ac adapter. but cannot work with battery alone, download the latest bios then charge the battery for 6 hrs. if still batt not charging then replace batt. but as you mentioned you already replaced the batt and your still getting the same issue. replace motherboard.

Battery will not hold charge after being charged. bike sat for yr

You never did say what kind of bike and engine size, the bigger the bike the more juice it requires....Charge your battery fully ...it should read almost 13 volts or more if it doesn't you have a defective or poorly prepared batt....this is not uncommon, that's why a voltage meter is so important for telling you what's really going on. Clean your ground wire from battery to frame and make sure your batt terminals are tight...if no go again,.take your batteryback to the store and have it LOAD tested i'll bet it won't pass the test...they can also test the voltage coming from the batt...but read that load test yourself.....you see ,your batterystarts w/ a jump but isn;t putting out enough power to start your bike on it;s own....folow this letter step thru step and you should be back on the road in no time.....Good Luck to you friend.....Tim

Want hold a charge

get a test light and a schematic. unplug stator plug.start bike ,make sure battery has full charge. test each pin on connector that is attatched to the 3 yellow wires.should light on each pin. if all good check for burn marks around connectors, front & back sides, and on wires. if no power on yellow wires, stator problem. if power, plug connector together, now test for voltage in wires on the voltage regulator side of the connector, to see if the voltage is making it through the connector.if there is power to volt. regulator, test w/ multi meter across battery leads to see if there is charging voltage to battery, approximately 13-15 volts. if only battery voltage(12.2 or less) while bike is running, voltage regulator is no good.if charging good, but bike wont start after prolonged sitting(say overnight) a system amp draw test is needed to see if something is staying powered up while bike is not running, drawing down battery.
