Do you mind me asking why you want a head phones on your bike? well anyways this is what you need to do, go down to radio shack and get a hook up and if your able to find a switch to turn off the main speakers so just your head phones are on. remove the head unit and locate your speaker wires now solder in the jac. best of luck if you need more help please contact me

The easiest option would be to use the rear speaker outputs from the stereo for the headphone jack and keep your regular speakers for the front outputs.

Then, you can just adjust the FADE control to select between headphones or speakers.

You can buy a 1/4" stereo headphone jack from Radio Shack. You will not need a "Switched" jack because you are using the FADE control for the switching (rear to front). ("Switching" jacks appear to "automatically" turn off the main speakers when the headphone cable is plugged in).

Good luck. Make sure you don't use your frame as an electrical connection for speakers, you will get a lot of electrical noise and interference. Do a good job wiring so you don't get any short circuits to the frame (electrical tape is not good enough with the vibrations of a motorcycle - the tape will wear away and short circuit to other metal possibly).

Good luck

    Eric,

The amp will put out too much, I was more concerned how you could get it connected than how damaging your headphones (or ears).

Let me know the wattage of the Harmon Kardon receiver. I will calculate how big of a resistor you sould solder in-line with wire to the headphone jack. A headphone speaker should not have more than 0.1 Watts total power.

The cd player on my 06 street glide(harmon kardon) skips with minnimal road vibration

1-check condition of CD
2-be sure fairing brackets on bike are not broken
3-be sure riser bolts are not making contact with the bottom of the radio

if all of the above are OK, it's either a defective CD drive or bad SDRAM circuit (40 second buffer memory). The unit will need to be repaired. For repair options, contact Iron Cross Audio. www.ironcrossaudio.com
