Question about 2005 Harley Davidson FLHRS - FLHRSI Road King Custom

After hooking battery charger up with to many amps, speedometer/odometer not working on my 2005 Harley Road King Custom. Is there a fuse I can change to fix this or could the speedometer be blown?

    1998 1200 custom the digital odometer isn't displaying but all the rest of speedometer works

You have a blown fuse left side cover remove you will find a black box check the fuses MOPAR KENNY

Maybe. It had nothing to do with the battery The problem just acured at the same time? Try tracing the wires then try replace the gauge then might be the transmission?

What is causing 2005 flhrsi road king custom speedometer to malfunction.


Hi,
Check first the FUSES, clean the terminals of the fuse and replace if already blown.
The intermitent location of the speedo means a trickle of voltage going into the system. The malfunction came when your charging the battery w/o removing the terminals.
Check and clean the harness connection.
Tell me if there is some more problem.

No the box fuse's is underneath the seat near to the Batt in a black box,then remove the cap and check for a burn fuse...

What battery do i fit to replace the old one on a 2005 Harley Davidson Road King Custom?


I'd recommend replacing with a Harley-Davidson AGM battery. They are very good batteries and competitively priced.
