Question about 2003 Yamaha YZ 250 F
Hi mate if you can rebuild your self then parts would be about
$200 for piston kit and about $80 for the gasket kit and to be extra nice to the bike then about
$10 new oil and same again for new oil filter so parts only well under $400 with some change
you may want to consider new cam chain whilst you have it all apart unless it has been changed as over 8 years old would mean it is well an truely used to its potential if you include the cam chain then you won't get any change from $400 but this figure would be pretty close give or take $50
As for paying someone to rebuild it for you well sorry to say you well on the way to $900 in the shop for labour and parts but if you need this option shop around to find best value
My Moto X parts online store can help you with best value for the parts delivered to your door this could save you few dollars if you rebuild yourself or supply your own parts to the mechanic to rebuild?
