Choke and fuel tap positions

Hi, Anonymous the usual position for petcock levers is:
1. Lever facing forward is the off position.
2. Lever facing down is the main fuel on position.
3. Lever facing to the rear is the reserve fuel position.
4. Choke lever in the up position means choke is on.
Usually the petcock has on-off-reserve stamped on the face. For more information about your question and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the websites below. Good luck and have a nice day.

My choke button is stuck in the choke on position and my start adjustment lever starts the motor or did, but doesn't utilize the other settings. What do I do to fix it? Thanks Bob

Hi Bob:
Sounds like a fun "bench" project.
I'd be dismantling (and cleaning) the saw until the carb, linkages, and control levers are exposed and available to mess with.
Odds are there's just some grunge of chail oil, sawdust, and ??? blocking full movement of the components. Cleaning with appropriate solvent (paint thinner will work) and air may even solve the problem.
Normal wear will sometimes round off the corners of the start adjustment lever. Logger mentality often is, "If it runs, put it to work" so perfection is not necessarily the objective. It all depends on your comfort level in operating the piece of equipment.

How do I start a weedeater fb25?

Press primer bulb 6 times
Move throttle lever to start position
Move choke lever to full choke position
Pull starter rope sharply until engine attempts to start, but no more than 5 pulls.
Move choke lever to half choke position. Pull starter rope sharply engine runs. If engine hasn't started after 5 pulls, repeat all steps above.
After warming up for 10 seconds, move choke lever to run position.

How come weedwacker tries to crank while on choke but when you move lever to 2nd position it tries to crank? but wont

When mine does that I go back and reprime repeating the process. It seems the gas does not feed up fully with the initial priming effort. Once it starts I move the choke lever quickly on way or the other to see if I can keep it running until it gets warmed up. Sometimes I have to adjust the choke setting even after it has run for a while.

I have a 1990 nissan patrol. When i start the car te idle races off to 2300 RPM. The Auto choke seems to be free to move, and if i manually hold the auto choke off it stabalises at 1000 RPM

you can check for vacuum leaks use a short piece of hose like a stethoscope = no . try setting the choke.black and yellow part. loosen the screws and twist it counter clockwise, this should take it out of the high idle mode. the heater in the choke might be bad, ohm it and test for power

Thottle will no stay in one position. There is a black spacer that slides over the throttle shaft between the shaft an the leaver. Will a new leaver come with that black spacer. Blower model wt200

Three (3) possible carbs were available on your machine.
If you have:
Walbro model WT-606 carb, the choke and throttle levers are available in kit form (which leads me to believe the spacer comes with them). Throttle lever kit part #530071726 and choke lever kit part #530071725.

If you have:
ZAMA model C1Q-W11 carb, the choke AND throttle levers are BOTH a part of the carb itself. (Would need a whole carb to get your part.) Complete carb part #530071465.

If you have:
ZAMA model C1Q-W11C carb, the choke and throttle levers are available in kit form (which leads me to believe the spacer comes with them). Throttle lever kit part #530071715 and choke lever kit part #530071716.

Hope this helps.

Choke

I am about to do it on the lemans 5. Just have to source the two lever setups for the PHMs.At the moment I dont have any choke setup on the bike.It doesnt need it realy.I just twist the throttle a few times when cranking in the cold weather and she always fires up no probs. I do want to fit the levers as the choke should be operational for winter time.
