Is the bike an electric start or a kick start? When you say that the bike will roll over, do you mean that the motor will turn over? If it is an electric start, then it should be able to turn the motor over easily for a few seconds. If it drags or slows down quickly go right to the battery and check open circuit voltage or have the battery load tested. If it has an ignition module, then it might not start to trigger until a certain cranking speed is reached. This a common problem for batteries that are left out in the cold during the winter months. You might just need to give it a charge with a trickle charger. If the battery is OK, then check for power at the coils using a test light. If there is no power at the coils, then check for a fuse or fusible link. If there is power, then it could be a failed ignition module or CDI box. You might be able to have these tested at a bike shop.

I have a 2008 Yamaha ttr 230 The bike ran fine last fall. I ran it this spring and now it stalls as soon as I give it some throttle. It seems to idle fine

slight buildup in the jets will do this. I recommend 9$ seafoam 1/3 can to 1 tank of gas for three times in a row .this works 90% of the time before spending $$$ at a shop.also put a new spark plug even though it starts the old one could be fowling out.

I have a xlr 125 2001 motorbike bin sat for about year was running even though it was stolen and had ignition hot wired anyway tried to start it but no joy i have fuel and spark new plug even sprayed gt 85...

Ok. Start from scratch just to make sure your not missing something simple. Verify you have compression on your cylinders. If you dont have a compression tester you can always use your thumb and spin the bike over.If you have good compression, then the next issue is spark. Pull off a spark plug wire with a pair of insulated pliers, hold it next to the plug and try to start the bike.If you have no spark then that is your starting problem. If you have good spark, then your last issue is going to be fuel. But I am betting you have a spark issue. Good luck.

Suzuki gp 125 1981 dont want to start

Make sure you have ignition spark and just wer yhe tip of the plug with gas. Puttting gas in the cylinder is too rich and will add to you problem. Good Luck

Following my bike's fall, the bike will not start ...

Hard to say depending on how hard the bike fell etc. If you damaged the stator in the fall that would be one explanation for it not starting and the battery not holding charge. If it's got fuel and spark it will start. If you have a reasonable amount of fuel in the tank the petcock won't create a problem unless the fuel is off, but there should be enough in the carby bowl/s to get it to fire and run. Any problem of excess fuel in the combustion chamber after a fall should dissipate in a few hours. Try and ascertain if you have a spark by taking a plug out, reconnect to the lead and put it against the head so it earths and kick over. Don't touch the plug - nasty current and dangerous, especially if it's CDI. You will soon see if you have spark or not. If the spark is OK it will be a fuel problem. Also, if it has a kill switch check it wasn't accidently bumped into the off position in the fall. Good luck

I havent started my baja mini bike since last fall and now it wont start it seems to be not getting any gas

Chances are the carb is plugged up with stale gas. The carb will need to be disassembled and thoroughly cleaned, including all passages.

does the bike turn on .. like lights and all? does it role over but just wont fire? if lights and everything come on then it would be a tip over sensor. i had same prob, laid bike down going very slow... got it back up wouldnt start just rolled over if i rememeber right. turned the key of then back on and sensor had reset...... try disconnecting the battery for a few, then reconnect it and try it.
