The spark plug socket that will fit all of your spark plugs is in your tool kit.

I wish it was that simple. My garage is outfitted with the best of the best. Not one of the sockets will go in the space where the top spark plug is.

If the Honda tool kit is missing from your cycle you can go to a Honda dealer and order just the spark plug wrench. If your motorcycle has the Genuine Honda tool kit the spark plug wrench will fit the two hard to reach spark plugs.

Hi, Saisoku this happens to a lot of bikes and different brands it is usually caused by water getting into the fuel system and/or moisture getting to electronic components, wire connectors, wiring harness. This situation usually clears itself by letting the bike sit for a couple of days in the sun. For more information about your question please click on the blue links below. Cylinder 1 misfire 2003 chevy impala.. My car started running rough all of a sudden today. like the engine was shaking. took it to auto one said cylinder 1 misfire. what does that mean & what should i...

a number one misfire means that the number one cylinder is no longer working as good as it should or is not working at all. The number one cylinder is on the back side of the engine on the passenger side. 1-3-5 are the three cylinders in the back.

Three basic things can cause a misfire.
1. a bad spark plug wire
2. a bad spark plug.
3. a bad injector.

Remove the sparks plug wire from the spark plug and remove the spark plug. Inspect the inside of the wire and the outside of the plug to see if there is any carbon tracking. it will look like black lightning bolts. If there is any carbon tracking replace the plugs and wires.

Check the spark plug gap. It should be around .060". if its over .080" the plug is worn out.

Check for spark with a spark tester.

the fuel injector is a little trickier.

Start with the things above and let me know what you find and we'll go from there.

Have 2000 limited 4.7. Has engine light on and checked codes, says #3 & 6 misfire. changed coils. but still have light and runs rough at 65-69 mph. A little rough at stop.

why would someone even start with changing the coils...usually a misfire is due to bad spark plugs..replace spark plugs, then go from there...just for a personal reference, the next time you want to see if your coils are bad, simply change out your bad two coils with two coils on the other side of the engine that are good...if they misfire code changes, then you know its a coil...if not, plugs...

1999 Town Car began running very rough - suddenly.

When cleaning your engine, water/degreaser went down the spark plug ports. Try using a air compressor blow gun to remove the moisture from around the spark plugs and boots. The water was causing the engine to misfire on 3 cylinders at first and as the ports started to evaporate the moisture, the less misfiring was occuring. Dry thouroughly and hopefully coils do not have damage to them. Also check to make sure the boot is making good contact with the spark plug.

Engine runs rough in gear.

Okay disconnect battery for 3 min to reset engine light to turn off! change wire #2 to #3, Swap them then start it. if misfire happens again if your fault codes goes from po302 to po303 then your ignition wires should be changed!!! if it is the same the that side of coil might be at your point of interest to change but I think spark wires might do it!!!! spark plugs should be the same time!!!! I think this will help??
