When i were changing stator ,i noticed loose oil pump chain.does it have a tensioner ?

just about all oil pump chains do not have tensioners
if you can depress the chain at the middle of the longest section more than 1/2 the width of a link, consider changing it
Best advice is to discuss the matter with a service center for your bike as a loose chain might be the norm
pump chains are not subject to the flapping motion that cam shaft chains are subject to as they have a constant load from the pump

How do i tighten the chain please

Under the protective cover of the bar and chain on the motor are the nuts / bolts and chain tension adjustment screws.

Depending on model (you didn't include yours so generic instructions follow); removing the nuts / bolts that hold the cover in place will allow the bar and chain to be removed - or to adjust the chain tension on the bar with a long screw for that purpose. Once the tension is set with the adjustment screw it is locked into place when the cover is re-secured with the nuts / bolts.

If you need more specific help - please provide your make and model chainsaw.

I can't tighten the chain on my stihl ms 251 chain saw

Pull the side cover and check for a broken or misaligned chain tensioner. I assume that you have loosened the bar nut on the side cover before attempting to adjust the chain tension. The methiod varies depending on whether your model has the side chain tensioner or the quick chain tensioner.

Im still breaking in my bike,,why is there a ticking sound in the engine while running?

All the parts in your engine are wearing in. Part of the 600 mile check up involves adjusting the valves and the cam chain tensioner (if it is not self adjusting). Chances are the valves are wearing in, the gap is too wide, and just need to be adjusted back to the correct clearance. Worst case scenario the cam chain tensioner has failed. http://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum/general-tech-9/klx-250s-2006-loud-clicking-sound-not-valve-33671/

Xr 350 timing chain slop makes noise can i adjust it

Both the 1985 honda xr250r and xr350 look loke they have self adjusting cam chain tensioners. You may have a broken tensioner or tensioner guide. With the age of the bike you may need a new cam chain. There is nothing to adjust so you need to just figure out if the chain is stretched , if a guide is broken, or if the tensioning mechanism is malfunctioning.

How does the timing chain adjuster work? My motor is a little noisy and I was looking to tighten my timing chain. The manual doesnt tell me how to just adjust it. It tells me how to assemble it (not very...

Well I guess the type and model of motorcycle would help.

However, most camchain tensioners are basically automatic. They bear against a long, curved nylon dampener that rides the slack (trailing) side of the chain. This pressure is made by a spring inside the chain tensioner housing itself and is not a serviceable part.

If housing is bolted up tight, all available tension is employed. If chain is still slack...camchain is worn out must be replaced.

Camshaft and rocker arm gaps maybe providing all the noise also, maybe time for a top end service, whatever the bike!!
Cheers.

Chain replacement

Usually the loose rear wheel has enough motion to allow the chain to close up. You may have to back off the wheel position adjusters to get this to happen. Push the coupling link through the chain ends toward the wheel side and install the free link, then the clip so that the closed end is pointing in the direction of normal chain motion. Adjust the wheel to set chain tension so that the chain will move about 3/4 inch up and down. Balance the two adjusters so that the tire is centered between the swing arms. Tighten the axle securely, then tighten the chain adjusters firmly. Recheck for free play in chain as above. Make sure the clip is properly seated in both pin grooves.
