If gas is leaking from the overflow hose then your float valve is stuck in the open position. You may simply have a stuck float , some debris in the valve, bent float arm or a worn out float valve assembly. go to bikebandit.com to see a diagram of the carb

I have a 2004 honda crf 250 and I hear a squeaking noise near the airbox when the bike is idiling sometimes, when I bring the RPM's upo it goes away, is it anything to worry about?

crf 250 2004 useda fcr old version carburator that make noise when you're motor is not making enough vacuum (at idle) this noise come from the carburetor slide kind of wiggling in the carb body....you d'ont have to care about it...if it get you crazy then move to newer version of crf 250 carb...they are less accoustic.
