Well if its like the other DR series you will find a bolt on each side toward the rear of the seat after you remove them you kind of pick the seat up and shimmey it backward till the seat releases in the front

Sorry I do not have any graphics for this

good luck rick

Hi my Dr 200 s dirt trail bike will not start it has a push button instead of a kick start there is heaps of petrol in it just no spark

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Discharged battery, needs to be 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a "LOAD" test, your battery may show 12.5 volts but has little or zero amps and must be replaced.
3. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
5. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting, leaking, spark plug cable connections loose check for spark leakage in the dark.
6. Faulty ignition coil or CDI or electronic control module.
7. Faulty CKP, CMP, or BAS sensor.
8. Faulty ignition switch.
9. Tilt sensor needs a reset.
10. Security alarm failing to disarm needs reset

1990 dr 250s(street) switching back to dirt only. what electrical do I have to leave on the bike for it to start. I have removed lights and horn. Removing the wiring harness and battery.

At a a minimum, you will need the magneto (inside left engine cover), the regulator/rectifier (right side, under seat -- has fins on it), the CDI (under seat, at front of airbox), and enough wiring harness to connect the 3. You should put a large capacitor in place of the battery. You will need to jump the sidestand and clutch safety switches, as removing them will cause a no-start condition.

How can i jump start my vmax ? i cant seem to get the seat out!

taking the seat of a vmax is really easy. open the seat like your gonna full the gas tank, on both sides is a plastic piece coming from the seat. on nut on each side comes out and the seat lifts back and up. if your talking about just starting with a battery cable you can just reach the battery cables with the seat off. if your talking about jump starting by forward motioin and using the clutch its best to find a hill and get it going and put the bike in 2nd gear and let the clutch out. WARNING. If the bike don`t start you probably won`t be able to push it up hills, it weighs 650 lbs. but you can not jump start the bike without taking off the seat. suggestion, buy a battery tender terminal hookup for $5 and screw the two wires onto your batter and let if hang out the side of the seat, it has a cap over to keep it dry in the rain and if you buy a battery tender you will be able to jump the bike or charge the battery without taking of the seat every time. the battery tender cost from $20 to $40 it s worth the money. if your not going to ride you bike in the winter hook up the battery tender and leave the battery out of the bike for the winter in a garage or basement hooked to the battery tender. cost pennys a month and save the battery life.
hope this helps

I need to know how to remove an air filter on a suzuki DR200 year 2000

Take off the side covers , unbolt the seat and remove( two bolts), the air box is under the seat. Flip the two tabs and lift the cover. Unscrew the center wing nut and lift the air filter out. Clean it, re oil it, and put back in, reverse order.

Normally battery can be accessed afterremoving or opening from under your seat or from a side cover pull panel. Good or excellent?

Dead battery, don't know where the battery is located but believe it is under the seat. Don't know how to remove the seat.

put ur key in the helmet lock on the left hand side of the bike turn the key so the metal hoop is open! then put ur hand behind it and you will find a lever push it down and the seat will move towards the back of the bike and the seat will come off!! the lever will only move with the helmet clasp open! hope this helps paul

2005 DR 200, sat over winter. Charged battery,

Sounds like a battery problem mate, give the battery a charge and see how it goes, If it has been sitting for a while it sounds like it might be a carby problem, so clean out your air filter, give her an oil change and give the carby a clean and then try kicking her over with a fully charged battery

DR 200 runs really cold. Takes about 15 minutes or so to warm up

It depends on the tempature, if its pretty chilly out yeah. Try easing the choke in slowly, and when it will idle at about half choke go aheand and take off but run the bike easy for a few minutes then close the choke.
