On rear axle shaft (both sides) are adjustment screws (bolts) make sure they are exactky the same when you are done

All the saws I use that do not need the cover removed to tighten the chain. If the tightening parts are in the cover you can't adjust the tension with the cover off Other saws the pin is on the saw side To tighten the chain there is a pin that fits into a hole on the bar. Turn the adjusting device to move the bar forward to tighten the chain. If you get it too tight it will not move.
